This Brunello Riserva from the great 2016 vintage is still young, and needs a few more years of bottle time. However, already enjoyable even by itself. Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years.

Bellissimo! Love aged Friuli whites - gorgeous light golden color, fresh cut flowers, jasmine, lemon balm, citrus but sweet not tart, silky smooth mid palate, more exotic fruit as it warms, steely minerality- not fat but kinda full-figured, just a beautiful cut, all the acidic angularity softened w/age thru lingering finish. — 9 months ago
Nice blend — 5 years ago
Solid with balance but nothing spectacular — 4 months ago
Elegant & mature. Slight bricking. Trace tannins on opening but blew off within a few hours and only mild on day 2. Nose is ripe plum and balsamic. Palate is soft and elegant with mouthwatering layers and layers of dark fruit, cherry, leather, undergrowth, red clay. Long soft satisfying finish. To be savored. — 5 months ago

Delightful rosso! Pleasant elegant nose of cherry strawberry and rose. Light bodied with many layers fresh strawberries dark cherries leather earth tobacco and mineral with fruit dominant on the front end and earthy and tannic notes on the finish. Softened on the finish after a couple hours of air. Many characteristics of a Brunello absent some of the body density and oak influences. — 15 days ago
