Tulipán Merlot Blend 2011

👀 Dark ruby color with thin rim in brick colour
👃 Not that rich on nose, mostly animal smell with a hint of riped fruit
👅 It is clear touch of oak here and it is still not fully softened. Besides usuall black fruit there are also earthy notes and pepper spice.
Nice bordeaux blend with a shiraz extra spicy note. I enjoyed it with texas ribs and it was real pleasure.

Terra Tartaro Villány Terra Red Bordeaux Blend 2013

Dark purple with very faint bricking on the edge. Nose is very generous, deep, black fruited supported by oak. Reminds me of Rocca di Frassinello Le Sughere. Color + nose suggest extracted and bold wine but palate is suprisignly medium bodied with firm structure and nice fruit acid balance. One could take this is a top class Cru Bourgeois. Only slightly too prominent tannins distract on a othervice highly enjoyable taste. This needs food and is still very primary at age 7. I take this will be at it's best around 3-5 years from now.
