Beautiful wine! I’ve had other vintages of this wine in the past. I tasted this 2017 out of 1.5L. Felt quite feminine in nature. Medium plus acidity and a long finish. Red fruited, and earthy. Dried cranberries, and tarragon. Seemed like a kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors. Very happy to have tried this! — 10 days ago
Big Table Farm Eola Amity Hills Chardonnay 2019, Oregon
Light yellow in color with a golden hue.
Fruity on the nose with lemons, yellow apples, spices, minerals, light vanilla, light grapefruits, oak, and light fresh white flowers.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with limes, light grapefruits, citrus, green apples, light oak, spices, earth, bitter herbs, light vegetables and white pepper.
Tangy finish with limes.
This is a very nice Chardonnay from Oregon. Spicy and tangy with light wood notes.
Gets earthier as it opens up, with more green apples and grapefruit notes.
Easy drinking and good by itself. Drinking nicely now and will age nicely in the 2 to 5 years.
Tangy and interesting, and a good quality wine. Crisp and refreshing when properly chilled.
I paired it with a wild mushroom Brie cheese.
A tiny production of only four barrels. Unfined and unfiltered.
12.2% alcohol by volume.

This wine I opened is the 2016 Domaine Drouhin Rose Rock Zéphirine Pinot Noir from the Eola-Amity Hills, Drouhin, Oregon.
The nose is very expressive with notes of cherry, cranberry, raspberry, mint, vanilla, rose petals, herbal and earth.
On the palate there is cherry, raspberry, strawberry, vanilla, herbal, forest floor and earthy.
This wine is medium bodied, very pleasurable and smooth with medium + acidity, medium fine tannins that gives you a medium to long red fruit and earth finish. I hope you all are still moving strong through this continued pandemic and staying safe and healthy. Lets all have a wonderful weekend ahead. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 days ago

It's time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Here is a delicious one from Israel.
Dark ruby in color with a reddish, cloudy rim.
Strong nose of cooked plums, black currants, light violets, dark chocolates, spices, cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, tobacco leaf, black coffee and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruity with black plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, currants, tobacco, licorice, light earth, coffee, herbs and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Merlot from Israel. Fruit forward and rich. Well balanced with nice complexity, tangy and interesting.
This 4 year old is drinking very nicely now. Good right out of the bottle and better with air time. After 90 minutes, the complexity comes in, and it is showing a really beautiful nose after 3 hours of airtime.
Would be nice to revisit it in a couple of years.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of cheeses, vegetables and dried fruits.
Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months. Kosher and not Mevushal.
15.5% alcohol by volume.

Deep purple in color with a short purple rim. Very intense color.
Strong nose of black currants, sweet plums, cedar, cooked cherries, raisins, dried figs, vanilla, cloves, licorice, spices and peppercorn. Really enjoyed the nose.
Full-bodied and intense, with medium plus acidity and long fat legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with cooked cherries, black plums, dried fruits, oak, vanilla, licorice, alcohol, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a big and bold Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Israel.
Rich and extracted. Spicy with a nice mouthfeel. Not for the faint of hearts, but I found it very tasty.
Still young and would be better in a few years.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 3 hours in the decanter. Much better with some air, so be patient.
Feels very much like a California Petite Sirah. Interesting stuff.
I had it all by itself by the pool.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc and 17% Malbec. Grapes were handpicked. Aged in French oak barrels for 15 months. Unfiltered. Kosher and Mevushal.
15% alcohol by volume.

Nose is so clean and pure. Smells like a scene in nature. Tree bark, wet soil, minerals galore. Another Burgundy ringer. Puligny for sure. Haunting complexity. Aromas just float on top of the glass. Wow. Rainwater. A pond. Moss. This nose is everything. Mint, fresh herbs. Nope I get barely any fruit which is awesome. This is a true vin de terroir. Wow. Opulent yet incisive and super pure. This is iodine city. This is so so Puligny. The iodine is the dead giveaway. What a stunning wine. As it aerates the complexity gets exponentially better. Nose is iodine city. This is so elite. Awesome concentration and purity. So complex and so compact. The minerality on this wine is insane. Holy shit. So clean on the finish. Just effortless and elite Chardonnay. What a finish!
