Sea Sun California Pinot Noir 2021

On Sky Princess doing a Caymus wine dinner. This wine was served with the fish course but I didn’t have fish. This was tasty with the cheese course. An ok wine but I’m not a big Pinot Noir fan so I wouldn’t buy this for home tasting. — 13 days ago

Fort Ross

Sea Slopes Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Everything a good Pinot Noir should be. There are subtle fruit notes but still a medium body wine that hold up well. Note the alcohol content is 13%, which for a Cal wine seems low. Kudos to the winemaker for making such an impressive wine without bumping up the alcohol content. FYI, the 2021 was a Costco close out in the San Diego area. — a month ago

Sea Smoke

Ten Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 2011

The anticipation and patience displayed holding this for 10 years was amply rewarded. Clear, brick-ish color, tight nose that eventually opened to loads of red fruit, Burgundy like in its combination of lushness and reserve. Subtle and layered even after all these years. — 11 days ago

Sea Smoke

Southing Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir

Nice nose but very tight:closed. Hugh perceived acid. Pleasant but not great. — a month ago

Very crisp and refreshing. Higher acidity with good citrus. Great summer wine. — a month ago

Sea Sun California Chardonnay 2027

Pleasantly balanced California chard: some that sweet blend of citrus, vanilla and oak on a harmony that sits well and dances on the palette. Great glass, great finish…buy this one in pairs! — 3 months ago

Sea Smoke

Ten Estate Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

A lovely wine. Raspberries, black cherries, and plums. I slightly prefer the 2016, but this is still an excellent wine. — 5 days ago

Texture Like Sun Sector Adelaide Hills Red Blend

Actually Sector Red 8, not Adelaide Hills. DELICIOUS. Light but full flavor. Let aerate, swirl around. Serve chilled. Good on day 2. — 10 days ago

Domaine François Raveneau

Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 1988

Buttery aromas and flavors up front, lemon, sea salt, just amazing cut, acidity and depth, super long, lingering finish, yet still very youthful overall, this is why we all buy Raveneau Chablis (Les Clos being the pinnacle), well, for me, “used to buy” (LOL)!! Amazing, a true WOW wine!! — 7 days ago
