Taken to Canoe House at the Mauna Lani. Nice light gold color, heavy in the glass. Nose of sweet sea breeze, apricot, honey, white clay, citrus and tan spice. Rich and powerful. Great stuff, paired well with the Onaga local catch.

Decanted for 3 hours, for a dinner that didn’t play out, so stopped and stored overnight in a fridge. Took to sunset gathering next night and, wow, this was singing a magical Raveneau song. Medium gold, heavy in the glass. Killer nose. Notes of a cool sea breeze, sea shells, white stone, apricot and citrus, some tan spice and a dollop of honey. Really big and powerful impact in the mouth. Long finish. This juice used its long aeration to show its very best. Give it air if you drink now. Will likely hold in this position for a long time to come.

An obscenely good nose. Restrained yet explosive with rock pools, lime, slate, all that Raveneau character but great intensity. On the palate really poised and balanced. Super pure and refined. Citrus and floral notes with a savory salinity. This is a beautiful bottle from one of my favorite vintages from Raveneau. Exceptional.

Yellow to medium gold. Nice weight. Citrus nose with notes of apricot, some white stone and cut apples, and a little sea shell. Lots of fruit with modest acidity at the start, but then in hour 4 this powers up and gives the Raveneau richness, mouth feel and complexity.

Raveneau is a form of religion. Petrichor, lemon, lemon curd, lemon candy, gravel, steel, white flowers - woah - the real thing with intense length, focus, and freshness

Straw yellow gold. Bright. Heavy in the glass. Big nose of lemon, honeysuckle, gravel, white clay soil and a little kiwi. Rich and structured in the mouth. Started strong, got a little watery after being open an hour, and regained form later on in the evening. Still has plenty of life ahead of it.

Boyz Raveneau tasting. Light gold color. Sweet fruit in the nose and mouth. Honey, wet stone. This is great now and will be even better in the future.

Your wife's b-day is only 1X per year. Anne Sophie Pic in Valence and Valmur 2000. Easily the freshest bottle of this vintage I have tasted.
