Nice gold in the glass…medium mousse with deep, ripe red delicious apple and crunchy biscuit notes. Expands as it warms…and takes on gravitas and complexity. Scottish Salmon Pesto, creamy Greek salad, and fresh MI cream corn. I love July weekends just hanging, cooking, sipping champagne. Happy summer, Vinous! — a year ago

Vintage 2005 | 3 hours decant | brown rim, beautiful barnyard nose, spices like clove, Scottish pipe tobacco, even some cherries. Taste is velvety, supple, no need to cellar this wine longer, good acidity, vibrant. Classic Haut Medoc that delivers | paired with Chaams Hoen chicken roulade and green asparagus, and cheddar cheese. — a year ago
Up front this is my favorite vineyard from Ridge for Zinfandel. Wonderful rush of mixed dark berry fruits and it gets better with a good decant. Medium full body and solid tannins that will allow for good cellar life. Pagani is the leader in the Ridge line of vineyard designated Zinfandel. Stellar wine and producer. 🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
Estate dates back to Crusades & Scottish navigator, George Smith, owner in the 18th century. Followed by M. Duffour-Dubergier, Mayor of Bordeaux, then Louis Eschenauer, a famous wine shipper. In 1990, Daniel & Florence Cathiard now own estate. Blend of 60% Cab Sauv & 40% Merlot, dark berry aromas, herbs and earthy spice. On the complex palate flavors of cherry and currant with pepper, tobacco and cacao notes. Soft ripe tannins, long finish ending with an earthy mineral character. — 2 months ago
Vintage 2004 | beautiful smell with flint, cedar, Scottish pipe tobacco and velvety taste. No need to keep this, for lovers of ripened wine, beautiful tertiary tones. Paired with horse fillet, polenta with porcini mushrooms, broccoli, bell pepper and yellow courgette. — a year ago
At The [Running] Footman in Mayfair with Sly and Eugene. This was a great Pomerol. Lush but balanced; a ripe style with earthy notes. Good with our Scottish roast beef ... — 3 years ago

A really fantastic summer scotch with notes flowers, grass, yeast, and freshly picked grains. It really jumps out of the glass with a freshness and vibrancy you’d expect more from a champagne or beer. Not super deep or rich, but that’s what makes it refreshing. Good deal too. — 5 months ago
