For the first year this label is 100% Mantonico
Indeed i am truly loving this local variety
It grows often quite high uphill, even 5-600 metres over sea level
It results a bit aromatic, quite fullish to be a wine that is kind of considered a entry level wine
I guess it stays on the lees for a bit
However the result is delicious, quite mineral, very easy drinking and persistent
I am very curious to see how this could age for a couple of years
Btw i paid it 7.50 euros🤫🤫🤫 — 3 years ago

Had it with Chinese food, delicious — 5 years ago
This certainly had multiple primary aromas and flavors. So not too simple. Easy drinking and approachable. Good. — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2013 pours a deep garnet with an opaque core and a rusty brown rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and significant sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with desiccated dark fruit, salmiakki, leather, espresso, and a Maillard reaction thing. On the palate, the wine is dry it’s high tannin and medium acid at best…probably medium-. The finish is medium. Drink now. — 3 months ago

Ceccherini Cristiano
I am not a rose person and this is not a classic rose
That is probably why i like it so much.
In Qld this could only be sold as chilled red, but it is instead an unfiltered, unclarified magliocco in a traditional rose version.
It fits in the cerasuolo(Valentini) category and it sits in it very comfortably
It has been in bottle 4 years already and it will get even better than this
What struck me the most when i tasted it at the cellar it was its mineral personality and then i drank it over 3 days with no signs of getting worse.
It is very complex, but also very easy drinking
I admit i had overlooked this wine when it was just bottled few years ago. Today you can see the full potential. Unfortunately we all know the rose market issue where all they look for are transparent French rose. I strongly recommend to look for this pretty boy which is not expansive at all but surely hard to source. About 600 bottles left(out of 2000?) and around 10euros at the cellar. Cheers! — 2 days ago
