Fig and stewed prune flavors, Christmas cake spice (clove in particular) and some leather. Lots of power left after 22 years, but hard to imagine this being any better than it is now. Delicious and worth the wait. — 5 years ago

Love the Querciabella Chiantis but this is comparatively nothing special -- appealing inkiness but one-dimensional flavor. — 6 years ago

Still stunning. Needed a good 45-60 minutes to open up and then... raspberries and more raspberries. Silky smooth, long finish. Drank it with my daughter. That's what memories are made of. — 6 years ago

Try as I might, I couldn't find much to enjoy about this Pouilly Fuissé. To my taste, it was thin, lacking the necessary body and with flavors of under-ripe fruit (apple,.pear and pineapple) with a touch of citrus. Not delicious at all — 6 years ago

A silky beauty. Notes of pomegranate and ripe raspberry. Served with Wiener schnitzel, rösti and Caesar salad for my daughter's 20th birthday. Domaine Bruno Clair generally doesn't disappoint and certainly didn't this time. — 5 years ago

Still gorgeous 28 years after harvest. Color: deep garnet. Nose: raisin. The taste evolved beautifully, too. It started off surprisingly light in body and reminiscent of plum tart. After some 40 minutes in the glass it grew deeper and richer, with notes of stewed fruit. — 6 years ago

Wow, what a beautiful red fruit bomb. To think this could taste so ripe and present after 18 years is almost mind-boggling. Flavors are beautifully integrated. Most pleasant wine-drinking surprise YTD. — 6 years ago

Whoa. Twenty years later, what a beautiful and fascinating evolution in the glass, from red currant to baked plum to sour cherry pie filling and back to red currant, all in 75 minutes. — 5 years ago

Surprisingly good acidity for a 10-year-old Swiss wine. And just as unexpectedly, it proved an admirable foil for pan-fried ribeyes. The fruitiness has mellowed with age. Nothing stood out especially for me, but of all the strongest note was European plum. — 5 years ago

Gorgeous garnet color. No sediment. A little tight at first then opens up into a truly elegant wine. Body on the lighter side of medium. Might not stand up to red meat. — 6 years ago
