San Cristoforo

Rhys Vineyards

Family Farm Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009

One of the absolute best pinots I've ever had. Initial aromas of potting soil, dusty raspberry/blackberry, pomegranate seeds, and grapefruit rind. After a few minutes, more earthy aromas such as clay pot emerge, followed by vanilla bean. A few minutes later, it's all dark cherry and cranberry chutney. Amazingly complex and continually evolving. The vanilla cream and soft oak emerges late in the palate. Just wonderful. — 3 days ago

Finca Las Moras

Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah 2017

Found at a local grocery store. More expensive than Costco. We thought it was on sale but it wasn’t. Older vintage than Costco. Not much difference between the 17 & 18. Will stock up on either one. — 15 days ago

Perrucci Family Vineyard

Syrah 2017

Great local find at Ruthe’s.

Fruit quality is fantastic, maybe a lil thin, but that aspect improves drinkability.

Oak treatment… guessing liquid oak, tasty spectrum, a lil forward, decant.

Not a huge oak person (lil forward, counterbalanced by bump’n fruit, tasty), but liked this wine enough to make it a multi-bottle purchase.

Skyline Vineyard Syrah 2012

We absolutely love this and is drinking beautifully now. Dark fruits, licorice, asian spices, garrigue, velvety tannins enveloped in a medium bodied wine that is body and elegance. We think its the best wine of Rhys and they do some outstanding pinot noir there :) — 10 days ago

Jatkoon! 😋❤ — 15 days ago

San Antonio Valley Syrah 2017

Very smoky on the nose and palate but also smooth and fruity! I love it. From those of you from California: I seem to really enjoy wine from Paso, would this be considered the same region? — 13 days ago

Ronco del Gnemiz

Bianco San Zuan Friulano 2019

🍇2019 Ronco del Gnemiz Friulano San Juan
Enchanting and thrilling with a lovely texture. Somehow it reminds me of a mix of a white Burgundy and high quality Sancerre. A wine that is right up my alley. Serve it at 12 degrees in a generous Burgundy glass. Serve it with something tasty.

Good concentration on the nose that opens up with some green apples, grape fruit and elder flower that is soon overtaken by richer characters of juicy peaches, orange and honey. Toasted nuts and a pronounced crushed fruit mineralogy brings further complexity.
Full bodied and a generous entry with a balancing fresh acidity. Pronounced fruit concentration and strong mid palate yet with a slime waste and lovely salty texture that brings nerve and tension through a very solid finish. Well Done!

Gorgeous wine. San Benito county fruit, this is what they grow in Umbria. — 14 hours ago

Trout Gulch Vineyard Chardonnay 2019

Very pretty aromas. Quince, white flowers, lemon, gooseberries, a hint of lactic richness, also with salt spray nose. So this is almost Chablisien. But the palate is like *good* petit Chablis. Can’t say I get a ton of Cali terroir, as much as the stylistic crafting a of an “old world” wine (grapes picked early etc). I usually agree with AG but can’t get on board with the score here. — 6 days ago
