Does anyone here understand this fresh whipped meringue, this earthy turbid dream, my secret spicy pleasure? — 7 years ago
Tangy tropical fruit, kiwi, pineapple, very fresh. Maybe a touch of sweetness, but it didn’t bother me. — 3 years ago
Beautiful nose of lemons, white grapefruit, white floral elements, and some black pepper and clove.
Lots of delicious fruits open the palate: apricot, peach, orange peel with a soft hay like maltiness. Nice moderate, citrus fruit acidity carries the mid palate with some lingering mild bitterness reminiscent of citrus pith and clove. Soft carbonation gives a nice fluffy mouthfeel.
Beautiful saison with excellent fruit/spice balance. The delicious flavors, dryness, and mild bitterness make this dangerously drinkable at 6.1%. — 6 years ago
This pint can of Perennial Artisan Saison de Lis is amazing and just what I’ve wanted!!!
This is a Belgian style ale brewed with Chamomile flower and it’s amazing, picture the frothiness of the chamomile tea, and it’s robustness and gentle bitterness in a beer form... it’s very very very good! — 6 years ago
Really good. — 3 years ago
There's a great video on YT on what a Saison is. In short, it's a farmhouse ale (pale or sometimes red) that was historically served to farm workers as a clean source of hydration. Without any distinctive characters and lower in alcohol then, the "Saison" only really gained it's signature when the house in question came into the equation. Also, based on my research, the checkered "Vielle Provision" yellow labels are the export labels.
As it was here, the Dupont Brewery's Saison is generally cloudy, very carbonated via bottle conditioning, zesty and spicy, bitter with a hint of sour, and a dry hoppy finish. For me, this is truly "The beer for all seasons" - the flavours are just so versatile. Perfect for a warm summer afternoon in the park, yet complex enough to pair with a 3-star dish. — 4 years ago

Saison DuPont is one of my favorite beers ever, amazingly my first time having this one. Insanely good, fuller body, more lemon oil than cream, pepper, clove, lemongrass, bread. I can’t believe they don’t add spices to this. So freaking complex. Finish lasts well over 30 seconds with lemon, poppy seeds, hay, jasmine tea. Wish I could find more of this. — 2 years ago
