Mainly garnacha (92%) this wine has a vibrant red fruit core with crisp acidity and minimal oak on the nose and palate. It’s overflowing with red cherry, dried orange peel, and brush herbs reminiscent of rosemary and thyme with a hint of leather and tar on the long finish. It’s wonderfully easy drinking and the pedigree is impeccable - it’s made by Priorat-wizard Alvaro Palacios from his family’s Vineyards in Rioja Baja. Organic, minimal sulfur use. 14% abv — 10 days ago

Wow! Velvet, dark currants, mocha, caramel, dark chocolate, saddle-wood, underbrush, gravel, stones & elegance that only happens with this much time forward. Round acidity and beautiful balance and finish.
Stupidly good with our Tri-tip!!!
Photos of; my visits to Bodega La Rioja, their well backlit tasting bar, outside patio and large oak barrels that were assembled inside the Bodega more than 100 years ago...they’re that big and have required many repairs over the years. — 6 days ago
A pretty color of dark ruby with a wide brick/ copper rim.
Nice nose of blueberries, cherries, currants, cedar, leather, licorice, vanilla, earth, wet leaves, light vegetables, herbs, peppercorn, dark coffee and tobacco leaf.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black cherries, raspberries, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco, light peppercorn, vegetables, dark coffee and herbs.
Medium plus in finish and spicy, with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice surprise. A very nice red Rioja. Showing nice complexity with a spicy mouthfeel. Nicely balanced and already good all by itself. A good food wine too.
Will age nicely in the next 7 years.
Needs an hour to open up properly and remove the acidity. Gets earthier as it opens up.
That's the kind of Tempranillo I enjoy.
Kosher. Not Mevushal.
14% alcohol by volume.

Had another bottle 6 months ago, just gets better and better. Deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of berry fruits, light spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja. On the palate, the wine was silky smooth with layers of flavors, berry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice lingering finish. Delicious! Can age well into next decade. — 20 days ago
