This is a very enjoyable wine from Spain. Tangy and spicy. Really enjoyed the nose here, simpler on the palate. Showing mild complexity with a tangy finish.
Fruit forward right out of the bottle, but after an hour of airtime it opens up with that great nose.
I paired it with cheeses, crackers and olives. Was especially good with the fatty Brie cheese.
Kosher. Not Mevushal.
14% alcohol by volume.

We’ve never had a bad bottle of this...luck, I guess. Typical complexity, great after two hours of air...beeswax, honeyed citrus, slight oxidation, faintest hint of petrol...all underpinned by just enough acidity...fabulous with a steak or salmon, in our case. — 14 days ago
Deep, clear garnet red. Ethereal, balsamic nose with a delicate vanilla touch; red meat. A little warmer, the alcohol of 14.5% is noticeable. Fine sandy, smooth tannins combined with a medium plus acidity and a medium body give a wonderful structure. The wood is almost perfectly integrated. Aromatic a melange of cherry marzipan, balsamic notes, laurel, dark berry fruits, plums, milk coffee and a nice extract sweetness. In the rear part of the palate and in the finish with delicate bitter notes, reminiscent of cherry pits and supporting the structure - until the beautiful long finish. This Gran Reserva has all the qualities for a long life - structure, density, juiciness and balance. — 3 hours ago
