I have had this in my cellar since 1998. Forgot about it. Absolutely great. — 5 days ago

Ashbourne Pinotage 2016

Oh yea baby. Smokey, fruited, well aged. Big but not obnoxious. Complex. — 3 months ago

Jim Jim The Down-Underdog Shiraz 2019

Always suspect of ‘cute’ labels. But this is pretty tasty for an inexpensive Aussie Shiraz. Lots of fruit- strawberry- a bit of white pepper- light tannins- 14%. Would be a nice cook out wine. Hard to dislike. — 6 months ago

Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2019

Medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, cedar, floral herbs and mineral spice. On the palate flavors of sweet cherry and strawberry with notes of tea, herbs and pepper spice. Full-bodied, fine savory tannins, long finish ending with fruit, herb and a savory earthy character. Nice! — 2 months ago

Great wine!
Quite mature, though. Caramel and nuts.

Ashbourne Pinotage/Cinsault 2019

Blend of Pinotage (84%) and Cinsault (16%). Interesting Garnet/Magenta/Ruby color. Aromas of sour berry/cherry fruit, wet stones and a funky (not unpleasant) musky note. Juicy red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit on the palate with hints of mineral and earth. Very tangy on the medium finish. Fine tannins and soft texture. Quite fresh tasting and complex. No signs of oak aging. Two very complimentary blending partners. Interesting. — 8 months ago
