Radio Coteau

We are identifying this wine.

Beautiful bright gold color. Fresh cut grass, green apple and melon on the nose. Richness is balanced out by nice acidity and mineralogy. Green apple, apricot and lemon with a bit of heat and acidity on the medium-long finish. — 11 days ago

Laguna Pinot Noir 2017

A little bright-raw Beaujolais Nouveau-esc fruit and a bite makes me think that this bottle had a little unwanted action in it. With air and time, yellow plum, stewed cranberry, hint of jerky. Too young to drink, needs time. 2., this will age very well. Big, plum turned dried rose. Fig. — 2 months ago

This is by far the best “cheap” red I’ve found. The price almost scared me away. I mean, a $9 bottle? Couldn’t possible be good. It was recommended at one of my favorite bottle shops so I tried it. It’s a go-to for me now when I don’t want to overthink it. Jammy, full of ripe fruit/berry notes, smooth, always enjoyable. — 17 days ago

Dusty Lane Sonoma Coast Syrah 2017

A Memorial Day BBQ wine, this was fantastic especially considering its youth. White pepper, plum and cassis, decent acidity, great body and length. I love R-C mostly for their Pinot, but they make a couple Syrah cuvées that rock (Cherry Camp is the other). — 3 months ago

La Neblina Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2014

Eric Sussman first heard the expression radio coteau from a friend while working in Burgundy. Name reflects a commitment to capturing reflections of soil, seasons, people and place. In 2002, Eric established Radio-Coteau. Ruby with fresh fruit aromas with earthy spice scents. On the palate cherry flavors with spicy tea leaf notes, zesty in style. Fine tannins, great mouthfeel texture, lingering ending with and earthy character which you can almost taste the soil. Nice! Something special. — 2 months ago
