2018 vintage. Consistent notes. — 3 months ago
so lovely. profound freshness. dark red fruit. black tea and damp earth on the finish. oak is perfectly integrated, 60% of which is new which i was informed is quite out of the ordinary for this producer—but you'd never guess from tasting. have always loved sonoma pinots and this is certainly no exception. — 7 months ago
Deep purple in color; cocoa powder, dried figs, and bwy leaves on the nose; medium acidity, medium tannins; tastes like molasses, blackberry jam, and cedar with a long finish. Great for a boxed wine. — a year ago
Faboosh. Unreal aromas. The darkest of all the Stephan Cru’s but so ethereal. — 2 months ago
Went through a dramatic slow journey once opened from a big fruity nose that would have made me guess a young gamay, followed by a teeth chipping tannic front, and then (maybe an hour in?) settled down like a older confident burgandy. — 3 months ago
Out of magnum: Stunning and powerful. Poured it along side grand crus and precious other magnums. Every glass poured was met with dilated pupils. Prosciutto, unripe figs. A wine you can smell at distance. — 7 months ago
Medium Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits with notes of dried herbs, citrus and woody spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cherry with espresso, vanilla and herb tea spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine soft tannins on a long finish ending with cacao, spices and slight earthy character. Very nice! — 2 months ago
Ruby colored and almost transparent. Aroma of fresh cherries. Flavor notes of fresh cherries, cherry pie, and a lingering cranberry sauce note. Amazing weekday or mid day sipper. Amazing with grilled chicken or smash burgers. — 4 months ago
