In such an over saturated market which is the NorCal wine industry, rarely can you feel the care that goes into a bottle of wine. Justice Grace wines are the spirited antidote to this. Eric defies the mass production practices of the major labels, and the end result is that his wine is completely different, both in terms of message and taste. Sensitivity and balance are at the heart of what he does! Bright, balanced fruit, soft tannins, lovely grassy notes, playful depth. In short, he creates delicious wines that invoke the harmonious and sustainable land practices (organic grapes! no additives/preservatives!) that are at the heart of how wine has always been made, throughout the centuries. This is a very special winery that deserves our support. — 2 days ago
The amount of nectarine and peach in this is insane. So good for bring pits. Very tart, there’s a herbal note but finish is pure tart juice of nectarine/peach flowing down the tongue. Amazing — 9 days ago
Dark blackish purple. Inviting nose of blackberry cobbler and boysenberry syrup. Full-bodied palate echoes the nose adding supple, medium plus tannins and a backbone of medium acidity. A fantastic New World representation of the variety in which the signature body and structure sit squarely in a universal comfort zone. Enjoy with barbecue, steaks, pulled pork, or even American style cassoulet. Drink now through 2027. — 31 minutes ago
Ridge,2002, California Monte Bello. Color- dark red purple with slight bricking. Nose—dark blue/red fruit and perfume spice-raisin and creme brûlée throughout with a mint scent lingering. A fantastic luscious feel in the mouth bursting of dark cherry flavors, with some earthy spices, cedar and soft coffee mocha grounds, the sweetness from the creme brûlée is subtlety throughout. A long finish but flavors are restrained and tannins are integrated but not totally resolved giving this wine a definite opportunity to age more. Can’t wait to try in a year or two! — 10 days ago
Tonight's wine is the 2017 Ridge Estate Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
The nose has rich dark fruits of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, licorice, chocolate, violets, graphite and rich earth.
The palate reveals black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper, soft toasted oak, graphite, licorice, spice, violet and earth.
This wine is full bodied filling the mouth with rich notes, medium + acidity and medium + mouth coating grippy tannins that moves nicely into a long black fruit finish. This wine does not disappoint for a second wine from Ridge. I hope your week has been going well and we have all been safe and healthy. Let's look forward to the weekend with more openings. Have a great rest of your week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 13 days ago

Zin goodness. Classic Zin goodness. It’s like the well worn blue jeans of Zins. Comfortable, friendly, familiar and casual. That’s a lie I hate blue jeans and really like this wine but I hear normal people do like jeans, very blueberry, vanilla scented, and there’s so raisins and licorice to boot. Oh maybe this is the perfect pair well-worn boots. As opposed to jean. Yeah that’s it.
On another note, has anyone actually worn blue jeans or boots since pandemic? — 9 days ago
