Fun Lambrusco with light bubbles and effervescent. Nice structure and plum and blackberry jam notes. Had with some amazing pizza. — 11 days ago
Amazingly fresh, yet the fruit is fresh and forward, like fresh strawberries on the very beginning, raspberries, plums and ripe red fruits all over, with a crisp minerality and a medium acidity, with a light-medium body with slightly mouth drying tannins. It’s just volcanic and tastey and a great buy. — 20 days ago
Rich aroma of blueberry, cherry, and blackberry; bouquet of some oak and hint of anise if you search for it; surprisingly smooth tannin for 2018. $22 from BGarden — 6 days ago
The 2017 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Il Bugiardo displays an inviting mix of blackberries, sage, roses, chalk dust and hints of camphor. This is full-bodied with depths of silky textures and a dense core of dark fruits and minerals that are not quite ready to reveal all of their charms. The 2017 has a bit of a monolithic feel today, yet it’s also perfectly balanced, with a structure that can carry it for many years in the cellar – which would be advisable to allow it to unwind a bit. Young and fresh from the glass with black cherry, cranberry, roses and poppy. Great vintage holding up phenomenally! Black and bing cherry palate with soft, textural black olive, bright raspberry, lingonberry and catalyst salinity. Juicy! Great acidity makes this seem so young in every way, the only hint is a slight fade to brick, but mostly unvarying rim to rim.

Wonderful Nebbiolo based red from the Piedmont region of Italy. Extensive sour cherry fruit aromas and flavors with notes of leather, organic soil, black licorice, and pepper spice. Brick colored with classic Nebbiolo tannin structure. A bit lighter and more acidic than Barolo, but still bold and beautiful. Time has been very good to this vintage. Thank You Ron B! — 5 days ago
