Best Blanc Blend I have ever drank! Taste like Riesling — 3 years ago
Leafy, tomato bush aromas - herbal- classic Cabernet descriptors from Margaret River. A sweetish blackberry note on the palate but essentially savoury with a tarry earthy note. With time in Decanter this wine improved even more - a really good medium weight Marg River Cab. Gralyn is in Wilyabrup and has illustrious neighbours like Vasse Felix, Cullen, Woodlands, Moss Wood and Pierro without their reputation as yet. They recently made this a “Museum Release “ charging $500 which is over the top. I’m glad I paid $80 at the cellar door about 10 years ago. Used to be served in Qantas Business Class back in the day when Qantas was flying internationally ✈️✈️🛫🛫 — 4 years ago
Quite lemony, grapefruit, citrus, mineral. Nose is modern Australian Chardonnay with struck match and flint. Palate showing grapefruit, citrus and mineral and quite lean compared to other Margaret River Chardonnay icons like Leeuwin Art Series and Pierro. Minimal oak influence. Could cellar for a few more years. — a year ago
Pale Lemon in colour. More in the lean style for Margaret River as compared to the richer “peaches and cream “ style of Cuvées like Leeuwin Art Series and Pierro. The oak has been judiciously dialled back not to overwhelm the more delicate fruit profile of citrus and grapefruit. Finished off with crisp acid. Would have liked a riper fruit profile from this good vintage. Perhaps picking a little later? Tasted 29 weeks later on 1st December 2021. Developing nicely with sweet grapefruit, nectarine and pear. Xanadu still having a wonderful run on the Australian Wine Show Circuit. Tasted again on 2nd July 2022 with consistent notes. Last bottle. Great value at $30 a bottle. — 4 years ago
Xmas present, and what a nice one! Smooth and full-bodied. — 7 years ago
“Funky Road Medina”! Struck Match, smoky, nutty, leesy - somewhat worked. Too Lean on the palate to be a Trophy Winner for my taste. Light to medium weight palate - citrus and pink grapefruit with Medium acid. This wine was awarded the Trophy for Best Chardonnay at the Royal Queensland Wine Show about a month ago. From Margaret River but leaner than the other famous Chardonnays there like Leeuwin Estate, Heytesbury, Pierro etc. Not cheap at $100 per bottle. Will improve with bottle age. — a year ago
Pale to mid Lemon in colour. Barrel ferment characters, leesy funky, touches of butterscotch and stone fruit. Went through malolactic. Some would say “worked”. Needless to say a lot of good winemaking on show here. Palate is more citrussy than stone fruit with a balanced creaminess very persistent flavours. A lovely and well made Chardonnay by Nic Peterkin. His dad founded Pierro who make one of the best Chardonnays in Margaret River and therefore Australia. His mother, Shelley, is the daughter of Di and Kevin Cullen ie. Margaret River royalty. Only 200 cases made. — 5 years ago

Very similar comments to the 2018. This is in the top echelon of Aussie Chardonnay. Just beautiful! 😍👌🏽👌🏽 — 2 months ago
