Some struck match aromas but not as lean as prior tastings in 2015. Filling out with more stone fruit/peach notes. Great intensity on the palate - like the old school dessert Lemon Delicious. Interestingly I had the standard Oakridge Chardonnay also from 2010 a few days ago and the step up in Intensity with this 864 is like comparing a Village White Burgundy to a Premier Cru. David Bicknell is considered as one of Australia's better Chardonnay makers.

Cracking Aus Chardonnay. At 6 it has softened sufficiently.

Pale lemon. Touch of struck match with barrel ferment characters. White peach and nectarine on palate. One of the top expressions of Chardonnay in the Yarra Valley and one of the reasons that #aussiechardonnay is getting increasing praise particularly in the UK. Good persistence and length of flavour. 2010 vintage from the Lusatia Park vineyard.

A great example of modern Australian Chardonnay. Winemaker David Bicknell says the Lusatia Park vineyard provides tension. Flavours are in the lime and grapefruit spectrum and a little lean for my palate preferring the more fleshy stone fruit styles of Leeuwin and Pierro. 17.5+
