Pale to mid Lemon in colour. Barrel ferment characters, leesy funky, touches of butterscotch and stone fruit. Went through malolactic. Some would say “worked”. Needless to say a lot of good winemaking on show here. Palate is more citrussy than stone fruit with a balanced creaminess very persistent flavours. A lovely and well made Chardonnay by Nic Peterkin. His dad founded Pierro who make one of the best Chardonnays in Margaret River and therefore Australia. His mother, Shelley, is the daughter of Di and Kevin Cullen ie. Margaret River royalty. Only 200 cases made.

Apr 27th, 2020Pale lemon in colour with some nutty aromas. On palate a little restrained with a little honeyed character belying its young age. Expected more for its DNA and price of $70.
