Balgera

Rosso Di Valtellina Chiavennasca 2004

15 year old Italian red! Light garnet in color and smelled of earth and herbs. The palate had a tart cherry with lighter body and higher tannin. Such a beautiful wine 🍷 — 18 days ago

ARPEPE

Rosso di Valtellina Nebbiolo 2014

Angular, lean, deeply mineral, all skeleton. Tannins are firm, fine, persistent, love the length and drying finish this has. Rustic, earthy, VA present but lifting. Very tense. Great value. — 9 days ago

Renato Motalli

Valgella Valtellina Superiore Nebbiolo 2010

Needs a few hours of air time to strut, but then shows wet river stone minerality, fragrant bitter cherry, and a floral note. Lean but flavorful in the mouth, with loads of barely ripe cherry, and lots of savory minerals. Tannins and acids are present but well integrated. Very nice. — 4 days ago

Alta Langa Brut Pinot Nero-Chardonnay Blend

Nice champagne style brut here, not common in Italy. Candied apple but toasty in the glass. Outside the glass it has a brightness, lots of character, medium dry, yeasty. Where it was candied apple on the nose it’s a dried apple flavor that prevails on the palate. — a month ago
