Rough - in a good way. Very dry, short finish. A pepper, clove, dark chocolate and mature fruit. — 15 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed out of red Solo cups over the course of a few hours. The 2007 “Cuvée La Côte Ronde” pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core. On the nose, the wine is vinous with powerful notes of ripe and slightly dried black and red fruit: blackberries, Marionberries, black cherry, a mix of red and purple flowers, a touch of rotundone, some new leather, a touch of Kalamata olive, stony earth and a mix of cool spices and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, baby. Personally, I have struggled to appreciate the modern profile of Paul Autard (100% new French Oak). However, this is an intensely sensual wine. I cannot deny it. Really good stuff. Drink now through 2032. — 2 months ago

Surprising amount of energy and lift for a wine of this type, still full bodied but leans more towards a medium red than heavy. Very soft tannins, blackberry forward with some plum, blueberry, a bit of raspberry & floral notes and cedar — 2 days ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Bright lemon color with aromas of tropical, stone and citrus fruits with flinty notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and lemon citrus wrapped in smooth spicy oak tones and honey notes. Long finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, notes of flinty mineral and savory citrus character. Nice!
