Spoiler alert-I’m a sucker For old school, rustic Italian wines. This clearly fits the bill. Theoretically a 2013 Barbara D’Asti should not be lasting this long but lord this definitely has legs at 14.5% alcohol.. Sage, damp leaves, old forest floor, fermented cherries: this is in my wheelhouse & for about 20$ let’s double down. Since it’s Barbera the tannins take a back seat but they are there. Polaner book. Paired with a Northern Bean/fennel/onion/garlic/ kale/ chicken stock stew on a growingly cold night on the Hudson. — a month ago
The grapes express themselves singularly and cohesively as a unit, so fun. Expressive, layered, crunchy, barnyard notes along with blueberry and raspberry. Lots of energy in this. — 14 days ago
Easy to drink berry forward with smooth finish — 2 days ago
“Just because” type of night. Blessed to dine with my life partner while trying something new...and we actually really like this vino. Need to add to the home stock. Oh yeah, I’m Bragg’s on the beauty of my wifey today...why she look like she glowing and without make-up. Beautiful beyond words. And oh yeah, to me the wine is crisp, lightly buttery but still slightly sweet (just enough), smells & tastes of pear & crisp apple. — 22 days ago
Great value. Needs to breathe. Weightier but retains mineral zippy structure — 23 days ago

I don’t know what it is but all #chile #syrah and (pardon the generalizations) all Chilean wine have this tell-tale aroma that is somewhat eucalyptus and somewhat smoked meat in all the wines. #movi 2015 still youthful. Has 5-7 more years to it. — 13 days ago
