Superb, complex Malbec from Neuquén province of Argentina. With Javier and Chieko in Buenos Aires. Crazy inexpensive here (equivalent of US$5.50) but still toward the upper range of Malbecs. — 4 months ago

Really quite nice. On the very restrained end of the spectrum. 12.5%, quite herby and minerally vs fruity. Hadn’t had Chacra before and so made it part of my “branch out” case with wines from outside of France, Italy, and Germany. Nice pairing with mustard and tarragon chicken thighs. Great delicacy to the mouthfeel. Finish a bit lacking keeping this from being higher. — 3 months ago
