L’EXTRA par LANGLOIS Crémant de Loire Cabernet Grolleau Rosé — 4 years ago
Gamay from mâconnais, with aging marked on notes of vanilla, cocoa, leather. Compared to 2016, the luxuriance of the fruit is a little more marked and gives change to the aging notes without being hidden. A well-made duel wine on a classic style.
— 4 years ago
Color of bubbly dark purple, yet quite clear. Nose of milky chocolate, fermented prune, strawberry syrup, a bit fermented cabbage, and a bit gin powder indeed. Taste follows the nose with addition of good quality acidity, dark fruits, ripe grapes, some zest, and low on tannins. Aftertaste shows some more bittersweet note and more ripe grapes. On par. — 5 years ago
Paired with Bison Filet with port and rosemary sauce. Classy nose with medium aromatics of spices, black currant and a touch of cedar. Palate is silky, smooth, medium bodied at best, with yet some nice elegance and Margaux finesse. The length is ok at best, probably the somewhat average 2006 vintage, would have rated higher otherwise, but still nice. 91-92
91-92 — 6 years ago

Drinking beautifully. Pepper, blood, iton. Par excellence. — 9 months ago
This was a cool one. Stone fruit at first and a hint of thyme once it warmed up — 3 years ago
Beautiful syrah that I will really have trouble identifying blindly. Ruby colour almost still purple even after 15 years, suggesting still beautiful years of ageing potential. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and intense, marked by the Bordeaux style, on a beautifully melted ageing with primary notes. The whole is rich and complex, between notes of black fruits (blackberry, blueberry, plum) tobacco ageing, chocolate, vanilla, cypress; evolved undergrowth notes and so on, it's a real taste journey!
— 4 years ago

So yummy - light skin contact makes it have an almost cider-like taste with a clean brightness to finish — 6 years ago
Think I like this better than the last Miraval vintage which is to say, totally solid and yum grocery store avail rosé that when the warm weather beckons you can crack alongside your springtime frolics. But like, better than a lot of rosé. Maybe not on par w my faves but damn enjoyable. Okay WSET-(ish)analysis.
Eye: almost salmon
Nose: medium intensity raspberry meringue and an invigorated river
Tongue: medium plus acid, medium alcohol (13%) and medium plus bod for a pink. Flavors of raspberry foam, vanilla cream and, like big stones tossed into a cobbler, damn that is not technically wset but I’ll save those notes for the test I have coming. Anyway yum. Maybe I am too happy to drink a happy pink lime Miraval but I’m into this one about as much as I was the year I discovered it which I believe was the 2015 vintage. Yay. Go on now. Thats too much math for Sunday🤔

2nd up is the ‘15 cab from estate vineyard in Saint Helena.
Fruit driven that showcases the quality of fruits which is concentrated, intense yet well balanced. Full body, but warm and delicate on the palate. Tannins are noticeably softer than the ‘16. Finish with great length.
When I tasted the ‘12, I thought it was on par with the flagship Profile bottling in terms of quality. This is no exception. — 3 years ago
A round interpretation of Madiran, a wine of character in essence. Balanced, with marked but soft and encompassing tannins.
Une interprétation toute en rondeur du Madiran, vin de caractère par essence. Équilibré, avec des tanins certes marqués mais doux et englobants. — 5 years ago

This is the high end yellow Chartreuse. Slightly sweeter than the high end green Chartreuse (9.8) and with different complexities. Still phenomenal and worth tasting/seeking out. Will likely last us around 3.5-4 months. 1 liter sized bottle. Time to start shopping for another bottle. 6.12.26. — 18 days ago
