Alamos Mendoza Malbec

Color of bubbly dark purple, yet quite clear. Nose of milky chocolate, fermented prune, strawberry syrup, a bit fermented cabbage, and a bit gin powder indeed. Taste follows the nose with addition of good quality acidity, dark fruits, ripe grapes, some zest, and low on tannins. Aftertaste shows some more bittersweet note and more ripe grapes. On par.

A bit on the thin side for a Malbec. Not quite the deep velvet texture I’d prefer. Malbec Light.

Great buy for a few dollars.
