Olivier Leflaive

Enseignères Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2017

Olivier Leflaive was formed in 1984 by Olivier and his brother Patrick. Pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits and nutty toasty citrus notes. On the palate apple and pear flavors with lemon rind, complex with vanilla and mineral tones on the lingering finish. Very Nice! Tasting well. — 2 days ago

Clardys Chablis Chardonnay 2015

The nose made me think this would be a bit richer than the palate shows. Some woody spice & lemon curd aromatics are hard to resist. Drinking it is a different animal. Tension, mineralogy & freshness are the story here. Enchanting and delicious. — 23 days ago

Clos Saint-Marc Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Love this wine...a tiny parcel, close to be exact is one of our favorites from Olivier Leflaive. 2010 vintage with honey suckle notes. Several years in this excellent 1er cru!! Still bright acid. Bob’s “house wine”... he wishes! — 9 days ago

Domaine Olivier Guyot

La Montagne Marsannay Pinot Noir 2009

Really nice wine right now. Cherries, dried flowers, some herbs and spice. Much better with food. Good tannin and acidity. Much bigger than I was expecting. Very good for the price. — 19 days ago

My husband really enjoyed this. We purchased from Costco. — 23 days ago

La Boutanche Beaujolais Red Gamay

Like a cherry starburst, but without too much sugar. It's fruity and light but finishes with a nice acidic, tannin experience. It's jammy and juicy and super light, making it flexible for any meal or season. — 16 days ago

Les Vireuils Meursault Chardonnay 2018

9.6

The very rare Vireuils from Chavy. Nose needs 35 minutes to open up. Starts matchsticky, some discreet oak and a ton of minerals. But under that is lime zest, gorgeous minerals and a sense of rockiness. This is a nose of place. Palate is stunning. It has a rainwater chablis thing but is also so refined and well integrated that is speaks of high end winemaking here. Amazing purity. My partner @Matthew Cohen is bonkers for giving this a 9.3 but he is stingy as Burghound. A stunningly pure and deep bottle of Meursault that does have Chablis vibes. Elegance doesn’t even begin to describe this. — 16 days ago
