Rose in October? Rose with ‘age’? Yes and yes, especially when it’s in the mid-70s in New York and it’s the ‘21 Bedrock Ode to Lulu. This wine gives you plenty of Bandol for the buck, based on old vine Mourvedre from premier vineyards. With another year in bottle, it was darker hued, subtler and perhaps even a bit sturdier than on initial release. A great wine for what feels like an endless summer. — 7 months ago
My favorite Chard producer in the country - USA. Rich and aromatic. Can easily go for a decade. Pineapple, lemon. Creamy back palate texture. Just 13.2% for Napa! 1200 bottles made 3 barrels? Burgundy like in style yet with this added touch of CA fruit. No butter or vanilla here. Just excellent wine making. Wow. — 10 months ago

Drinking it too early, but excellent blend from an old vineyard. — 10 months ago
Fantastic wine for the price ( under $15). Dry, aromas of lime and peach. Very refreshing. Surprisingly complex for a wine at this price. — a month ago
Clear and brilliant , medium ruby garnet with a light garnet ruby rim . This is showing quite a lot of tobacco and , sous bois , some dusty cassis , sweet red cherry , red plum , coffee and beef jus . After a while a touch of old wood and grafite . Quite intense and certainly alive . On the palate this is elegant and with more dusty, coffee tinged sweet red fruit , red plum , cherry. Dusty cassis. Good density and really elegant acidity and fine , resolved tannins . Good length with some coffee and cocoa on the finish . Mature obviously but showed well and opened up over an hour or so in decanter . Drink now and over the next 5-10 years perhaps , though won’t improve . — 3 months ago
Very tasty! Dry, not sweet. Hints of green apple and cheese. Got this bottle from Clos — 9 months ago

Red raspberry and spicy, very youthful, fruit, outstanding acidity, whereas the 2020 from earlier seems ready, this wine needs 3-5 years to peak, long, lingering finish, outstanding Zin!! I can only imagine how fantastic the single vineyard 2023 Bedrock Zins in 5-7 years! — 19 days ago
