Nicolas Rouget

Château Rouget

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

2016: Thick and extracted young Merlot-based Bordeaux with a ton of purple fruit and more oak than i’d like. Smooth and velvety but not subtle. Could get more complex over time and make for a much more interesting wine. $60 at WL. — 14 days ago

Domaine Lafage

Nicolas Vieilles Vignes de Grenache Noir 2021

I had to add a nearly random label to review this gorgeous wine from Christophe Marin
Grape is Grenache Noir and the fantasy name Calluna, the wine region is Languedoc-Roussillon.
The wine is elegant and powerful which i reckon is a great combination
Very persistent aftertaste

Bodega Catena Zapata

Nicolas Catena Zapata Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec 2015

Attractive aromatics. Ripe berries, potting soil, baking spices, mint. Long fresh finish. This feels more bordelaise than the Adrianna series. — 2 months ago
