Wanted to like this more, but the acidity and tart red fruit were a little too dominant. Still, a fun bottle, and a nice match for a giant pan of lasagna. — a year ago
Dry, some skin contact, surprisingly light-bodied, bright acidity, perfect with @Kelsea Norris’s delicious salmon! — 2 years ago
so rich, dark, and robust. this would be a great burger beer (we had it with fried tofu sandwiches made from the superiority burger recipe). — 23 days ago
what is there to say about this, one of the best that belgium has to offer? it’s rich and full-flavored without being aggressive in the way that only a belgian ale can be. creamy, yeasty, complex. i always get a note of caramel, but i think that’s just the name playing tricks on me. it’s delicious. — a month ago
light, fruity, and very approachable for an IPA. the hops are friendly and mild - the belgian style that the brewers say they’re aiming for really comes through. a good one for a reluctant IPA drinker, and i enjoyed it too! — 25 days ago

heavy-hitting barleywine! 10.2% alcohol, and you can tell, but not in a hot way - more of a rich, boozy, caramel-y way. this beer is *almost* too much, but for these darkest, longest days of winter - the name translates to “winter solstice” - it’s perfect. drinking it all on its own under a blanket on a cold night is just right. — 23 days ago
