Surprising that it’s so approachable so young. Very loaded yellow color. On the nose bruised and cooked apple, quince, saffron, dried orange peel, maybe a touch of floral honey. Very high aromatic intensity coupled with so much freshness, which you wouldn’t expect with these descriptors. The palate confirms it, more orange peel and hints of Aperol, less saffron, but all very fresh and so balanced, miraculously hiding the whopping 15.5% alcohol!! What a wine, it makes me smile at every sip and demands my attention, I just can’t multitask when having it. — 4 days ago
2019 vintage. Brouilly "Garanches" Nicolas Boudeau. 90 years old Gamay Noir vines on volcanic siliceous rock. Strawberries, raspberries, red cherries and delicate spices. Velvety tannins and mouthwatering acidity. Delicious. Abv. 12,5 %. — 17 hours ago
Unusual Bordeaux blend with a large percentage of Malbec. Somewhat sweet but elegant Cabernet Sauvignon flavor. A very nice steak wine. — 25 days ago
Gentle nose of blackberry, creme de cassis, incense, warm spices, and the seductive hint of forest floor/wild fungus. Harmonious palate: full and unctuous, yet weightless. Acidity is as good as it gets. Supple silky tannins.
This bottle exceeds my high expectation. Love the simple yet elegant label too. — 17 days ago
