2021 autumn. Some initial brown funk blew off after a bit, allowing the soft, open-knit nature of the wine to show through. Plenty ripe in this vintage, and thus not the most taut, but a very enjoyable country Nebbiolo — 3 years ago
Clean, crisp, hint of apple. Remember foundry or trip to the vineyard when we got it! — 4 years ago
For a Rosso ‘Normale’ (Riserva’s / Selezione’s have a green label here) of this age, this is very satisfying and tasty. Unpretentious yet complex, well aged, pure fun.
Sweet fig jam nuances, crunchy forest fruit, Italian herbs, savory notes of development, medium bodied.

The 2017 Barolo is a pretty dense wine from proprietor Nicola Oberto. I am used to seeing a bit more finesse and transparency here, but the 2017 is quite a powerhouse. Large-grained tannins add to that impression. Time in the glass brings out hints of spice and tobacco, and yet the 2017 remains a bit rough around the edges. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2021)

This wine is delicious. It has a textural richness, complementing an expressive bouquet of aromas and flavors crossing fruit (yellow apple, green pear, gooseberry, just ripe pineapple, lemon peel) and floral clusters (yellow flowers, blossom, honeysuckle), punctuated by herbaceous, steely, and flinty characteristics.
The Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc also lend acidity and lift to the profile, while supporting balance and establishing structure. The alcohol is high at 14.5% ABV but you would never know it.
This wine aged for 9 months in 250 liter oak barrels, augmenting the mouthfeel.
In a word, this wine is sensual!! 🥂🥂 — 10 months ago
Mandarins, herbal and mineral
Quite balanced, elegant and fairly long
Milleuve is a misleading name, it doesn't give the idea of the care they put in every single wine they make at Borgo del Tiglio.
