What an amazing bottle of wine. Black current, bbq, black pepper, subtle fruit notes. Awesome! — 13 days ago
It’s great to have a wine that in any vintage will be somewhere between ‘great’ and ‘extraordinary.’ The Turley Hayne Zinfandel is that wine for me. Early in its run, the 2017 is headed toward the top of that range, loaded with jammy fruit, a bit of spice and a nice cut of acidity to keep it in line. Can’t wait to see how the bottles in my cellar evolve over the next 10-20 years. — 15 hours ago
Yea, digging this. Lush blackberry and blueberry fruit, a touch pruny but not over the top. Cigar tobacco, pepper and some heat to round it out. Delicious — 14 days ago
Complex on the nose: cherry, pine needle, mint, orange rind, graphite
On the tongue: cherry, strawberry, Napa dust, plum maybe, cedar.
Super juicy! Not your typical pepper explosion or overly hot alcohol you see in Zin. Can’t wait to visit them in person! — 21 days ago
Raspberry preserves, dried cherry, blackberry, stewed fruit, plum and oak. Medium-bodied and velvety tannins. — 14 days ago
Excellent Zin - not too jammy but have some fruit forward tones — 15 days ago
