Napa Valley Chardonnay

Opened sometime prior to service. The 2022 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with slightly reductive notes of match stick, yellow apple, pineapple, a touch of butter (this is Napa after all) and flinty minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I’ve been digging the direction of this wine the last few vintages. A bit of trivia, this does not see malolactic and yet has that creamy texture and touch of butter. Lees contact? Drink now through 2037.

I just love their Chardonnay. Good acidity but just so smooth with peach, wet stone, and yellow apple.

Crisp green apple, lemon, jasmine, and peach. Lighter and fresher than most Napa Chardonnay but very flavorful and bright.

Really good Chardonnay, strong flavor of green apple and hints of lemon. Well balanced with oak. No butter flavor which leaves this very crisp.

Quite light straw , green hints . On the nose this is quite restrained , some apricot , pineapple , white flower notes. On the palate again restrained , lemon peel , touch of apricot , pineapple, hint of toastiness . High acidity and really good balance , nice lemon peel tinged finish . This will probably age well , now and over the next 7-10 years
