Certainly not as rare as the Ponsot’s Clos des Monts Luisants, but as soon as I saw this on the wine list at reasonable price, I knew this was what I wanted to order.
The nose opens with lemon oil, white peach, crushed stones, and subtle hazelnut. The palate is supple yet lively, with vibrant acidity framing ripe orchard fruit and a cool, chalk-driven core. A faint floral note and gentle oak spice add complexity. Elegant with refined balance. — 5 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2024 “Les Monts Damés” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with white flowers, grapefruit, star fruit, alfalfa, and cream cheese stuffed poblano pepper. There’s also this Double Bubble thing going on. Wild stuff. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. In a world of increasing ambiguity, I love that this is immediately identifiable as Sancerre. Drink now through 2034+. — 3 months ago
Better than you can imagine if you have had. Creamy, just a touch of butter, understated caramel, hint of toffee, round acidity with length & balance for days. — 2 months ago
Smooth, tart on its own, sweetens a touch when paired with nice monkfish and fennel dish. — 5 months ago

This one went in the opposite direction of the Baudry—shut down a bit with some air. Not sure whether it maybe needs more time? — 18 days ago
