Seems like a great classic representation of a Chianti. Cherry, Dusty, various baking spices. Interesting enough when it first opened there is definitely a caramel or a burnt sugar going on there, but it faded within the first 5 to 10 minutes. After that it settled down to Fruit forward without any bad tannins or anything else, but still not flabby. Delicious and went very well with our pasta.  — 4 months ago

Mmmmm. Smoky, earthy, rich, dense, smooth. Tea, raisins, tobacco notes, reasonably integrated structure with some heft. Nothing like a good 15 year old Aglianico with the mouthfeel and finish of a young Amarone. — 6 months ago

Drinking beautifully now. Nose has macerated wild cherry, and savory minerality. Developing a secondary note of aged, well cared for leather. Rather full in the mouth. Deep fruit and a lengthy, minerally gravel-laced finish. Medium acids are kind of sneaky, coming on as the finish extends. Still some very soft tannin present. Lots of character for the money.

UPDATE: Night 2, nose is now showing a crushed rosemary leaf note — 10 months ago
