Clos du Roi Mercurey Pinot Noir 2013

2013 vintage. The Premier Cru "Clos du Roi" (or sometimes spelled "Roy") is considered by many the best vineyard in Mercurey. 2013 was a challenging vintage in many respects, but this is delicious. Intriguing nose with coffee beans and cherries, intertwined with floral and herbal impressions. Very fresh in the mouth, with juicy sour cherries, subtle spices, and a slightly rustic tannic backbone. Very good length. No signs of fatigue, I wouldn't be surprised to see this holding up well for another decade. Abv. 13%. — 7 days ago

Nice everyday Burgundy. Tart black cherry, red tea leaves, lilacs. — 9 months ago

Clos Rond Mercurey Pinot Noir 2020

Needs about an hour decant. Earthy. Spiced red fruit, medium+ elegant mouth feel. A little funky barnyard with some light tannins and minerality. This is pretty darn nice for $30 (marked down from 50). — 10 months ago

Made from Pinot noir grapes but the label for 2016 only states rouge. It has the right balance of sweet, spice and acidity Mercurey is a village in the Côte Chalonnaise sub-region of Burgundy. It is one of the five communal titles of the Chalonnaise and produces predominantly red wines from the Pinot Noir grape variety. — 4 days ago

Mercurey Chardonnay 2021

Pure Chardonnay, without being overly oaky, hint of lemon, paired well with swordfish. — 18 days ago

Mercurey Vieilles Vignes Pinot Noir 2019

I took no notes but very good bottle in a more classical register, albeit less "clumsy" than in prior times. Good stuff and requires a few more years.

Les Vignes de Maillonge Mercurey Chardonnay 2019

Lotta oak in play here. Almost like 1980s Cali Chardonnay. Nose features melted butter and toasted vanilla, with nice underlying stony soil tones. Ripe pear fruit. In the mouth, there’s that oak again in the forefront, but behind it there is some nice fruit and decents acids for a wine that is 14%. Finish is long. — 7 months ago

Yeah, sort of surprising for a wine from the Chalonnais. Hopefully as it airs it will recede.
