v96. Amazing 27 year old. Very good! Soft belt leather and dried herb nose. Fresh, juicy, deep, cherry and plum fruit. Velvety smooth, long, black pepper and mocha finish. Nicely balanced. — 9 days ago
#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. What a beautiful color.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Showing cherries, raspberries, black plums, currants, oak, light vanilla, spices, cola, chocolates, earth, wet leaves, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark coffee, rust, blood and herbs.
Dry on the palate with a nice mouthfeel. Shows nice complexity at this point.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and pomegranates.
This 13 year old is starting to drink very nicely now, and will continue to age in the next 7 years.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show itself. Easy drinking once it opens up. Elegant with good structure.
Robert Parker 94 points.
Paired nicely with the Prosciutto.
A blend of 80% Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. Aged in used American oak barrels for five years.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Following on from the 2005 Blanco Reserva, the Tinto Reserva from the fabled 2001 vintage was in fact a little underwhelming, perhaps given lofty expectations and the exceptional white we’d just enjoyed. This was in a lovely spot, offering plenty of mellow enjoyment but not a great deal more. — 22 days ago
Deep ruby leaning to garnet appearance. On the nose there was black plum, smoke, cedar, dried fruit, and leather. On the palate, there was a medium acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol, and medium body. The wine was balanced, with a good length, complex, and identifiable characteristics. Overall a very good, almost outstanding wine. — a month ago
Deep Ruby, aromas of red and black fruits with sweet spice and oak, a classical blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo, barrel aged for 24 months. On the palate flavors of black cherry and currants with spice, espresso, vanilla & toasty oak tones. Fine tight tannins, lively acidity on a long finish ending with fruit, sweet spice and an earthy mineral character. Nice! — 2 months ago

Notas de Cata: Un Tempranillo blend muy interesante y refrescante. Joven con equilibrio, gustoso frutal y ligero sin perder personalidad. — 8 days ago
