Such a simple delight. Really great stainless chard that is refreshing and crisp. For the price makes it amazing. — 5 years ago

Durant Vineyard Lark Block Chardonnay 2019

Hot off the FedEx truck and absolutely crushing it. Brilliant sparkling clear...notes of lemon meringue, pear, and tart green apple...light weight on the palate, but bright lively and thirst quenching... glad to have a few more... but thinking of 6 or 12 more. Doesn’t taste New World at all...simply an extraordinary bottle of wine. The longer the wine was open the better it got...Reinforces my love of Willamette Valley Chardonnay. If you like restrained, complex, impeccably balanced Chardonnay... run, don’t walk to the website before it’s gone! — 6 years ago

Nerthus Grüner Veltliner Muscat 2019

Continuing a weekend of American wine...beautiful quaffer from Kelley Fox wine. Gruner balanced out by grapey muscat, tannins from skin contact singing backup. Fabulous. — 6 years ago

L. Stone Fox Hill Vineyard Zero Sangiovese

Beautiful expression of the terroir and grape—so alive. Great acidity. Cherry and strawberry primarily. Medium-plus tannins. Chalky earthiness married to faint but heavy flowers—violet and hibiscus. The faintest whiff of cedar and tobacco hits as one drops the glass. — 5 years ago

Paradise Road Vineyard Syrah 2005

Held up reasonably well but it’s heyday was a few years ago. Still has tobacco, notes of blackberry, and chocolate but had lost the intensity I remember from earlier bottles. — 6 years ago

Fox Den Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

2022 vintage. Medium body. Fleshy and fruity without much tannic visitation. Possibly better in 2-4 years. A little too fresh currently. 1.23.26. — 5 months ago

Respects are due to Evan for this! Clean & concise Mendocino arneis that's way too slammable! Good thing the abv is minimal @ 12.2%! — 9 months ago

Weber Vineyard Pinot Gris Rosé 2019

Unusual rose not done in the classic, dry Provençal style. Substantial body and interesting texture with strawberry flavors though not at all sweet. Well balanced. Great acidity to pair instead of a white with rich, buttery food. — 5 years ago

Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Blanc 2019

Delectable Wine
9.3

Vivid straw. Mineral-tinged nectarine, tangelo and pungent flowers on the highly perfumed nose. Silky, tightly focused and energetic on the palate, offering juicy citrus and pit fruit and honeysuckle flavors complemented by suggestions of saffron and sweet butter. Shows excellent depth and clarity and finishes minerally and very long, leaving floral and mineral notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2020)
