Idlewild
Fox Hill Vineyard Cortese
Honey Asian pear bruised apple. Slightly oxidized. Reminds me of older Chenin. Definite yes.

Dec 2nd, 2015Surprising weight and texture, partial skin fermentation, partial direct press. Geeky wine more than a crowd pleaser, and really needs food. I dig it. #kogodwinemerchant

Mar 15th, 2015Weighty and rich with pear, jasmine, and bruised apple. I think I wanted a bit more classic tartness and green apple, but that's just a style thing.

Jan 21st, 2015A bright yellow color...pretty. Apples and baking spices, a little honey with soft citrus flavors. Aged for 2 weeks with skin on... The Winemaker was passionate. ..and that's an understatement. I was much impressed with his enthusiasm for what goes in the bottle. Try their Barbera too.
