The Wild Ride Barossa Valley Shiraz Blend 2014

Wow, the extraction on this is just unreal, thick rich viscous monster w/smooth voluptuous caressing tannins, copious quantities of ripe black/blue/cherry fruit subtly dusted with spice & pepper. Some secondary layers of menthol, licorice, & damp Earth appeared on second day. — 2 days ago

Experimental Series No 2 Fred's Home Block Mourvedre 2018

Mataro in perfect balance. This bottle literally arrived with a broken neck from shipping and I had no choice but to finish it off immediately and salvage a sneak peak. Pure pleasure while holding the perfect amount of complexity you want from the delta terroir, which is not a large window, and proves to those who can make it the real mastery that lay in the glass. This is not at all what anyone expects from Mourvèdre. It is like blending the best of Beaujolais and both northern and southern Rhône all at once without weight or heaviness at all, just the pure glide of complex fruit and romance. The winemaker feels this deeply and it is very obvious he knows exactly what he is doing. This is the very best that could be done with this👌🏼 — 7 days ago

The Armagh Clare Valley Shiraz 2012

This is close to perfection
Fairly big body not huge, but driven by an agility, suppleness, drinkability tremendously out of the ordinary
I have had other vintages and I must admit 2012 is arguably the best or close second to the 98.
Statement :I love Clare Valley shiraz, it is surely the most Rhone like 100% shiraz, for the big bold body u need to add malbec or mataro. Almost flawless
Silky tannin and long

GR/M McLaren Vale Grenache Mataro 2017

Crushed red cherry, baked red plum, Ceylon, clove, animal (brett), licorice root, wilted flowers. There’s a really muddled and savory dimension. I think the brett laces in really well and is balanced. There a lot of fine tannin and length, departing with textural mineral notes and spices. Great synergy from the co-ferm. — a month ago
