72% Zinfandel, 18% Petite Sirah, 8% Carignane, 2% Mataro.
This wine has a rich, full texture with juicy blackberry, black cherry, plum, candied blackcurrant, anise, black licorice, cedar box, pencil shavings, vanilla, coconut, nutmeg, clove, tobacco and wet earth.
The tannins are smooth and ripe; the alcohol is high and well-integrated. What a nicely balanced and delicious Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley! — a month ago

Dark and rich in the glass, the 2019 Hexe displays wild strawberry, red plum, anise and peppery floral aromas. This is wickedly fresh yet powerful, with depths of ripe cherry-berry fruits, autumnal spice and lively acidity that holds the entire experience together. The 2019 finishes long and spicy, echoing with blue and purple inner florals. A balsamic twang lingers. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2023) — 17 days ago

Stunning, g led GSM, you'd think it was 100%, fresh, layered, apparently no oak but ... I almost don't believe it. — 6 months ago
2014 vintage. Crushed violets, Chambord, short rib and a starchy, smashed bean/lentil (a first!) influence on the nose. Light-medium/medium body. Pastille flavors with a splash of au jus on the finishing flavors. 94% Syrah, 6% Viognier and 14.5% ABV. Back label sed the wine would “be at its best over the next six to eight years (comment dated 06.2016).” Stuck in the middle with you comment would seem to be spot on.
