Dolcetto d'Alba 2019

Takes abit of time to open up. Fresh oak, plum, raspberries, leather, black pepper — 3 days ago

Quarantatre 43 Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2013

Nose: savory. Spice perfect lilacs. Violets. So perfect. Maybe a hint of age as it aerates.

Palate: perfect “sweet “ cherry fruit. Gorgeous silky licorice. Still fresh.

A truly magnificent wine.

Cosentino Etna Rosso DOC Nerello Mascalese 2019

This is the “ San Teodoro” cuvée. 100% Nerello Mascalese. Light, fragrant, balanced. Interesting flavors of bright cherry and mineral. It’s hard to find nice, lighter reds, and I find myself frequently cooking things that call for a lighter red — a month ago

Sharp and briny. Lovely taste of Corsica with a pasta dish. Did really well with pork sausage and fennel. — 3 years ago

Gorgeous clear cherry on the nose. Round and opulent and so pretty. Spice, cinnamon, tar, tobacco, so clear and vivid. Palate is ripe, deep, powerful and very concentrated. Really this is a large scaled wine but still has an elegant yet intense structure. Red fruits all the way and a bit awkward initially and needs maybe 40 minutes to get there. Delicious stuff. Long finish and really high quality fruit that only comes from a top top vintage. — 3 years ago
