Another great summer supper, slightly oxidized, good acid, bright, light-medium bodied. Organic! — 3 months ago
I had not had it for a while. Surprised me for good. Expressive nose of strawberries, dark cherries, a hint of chocolate, darkness grows. Easy tannins of the 2020 vintage, good acid. Great, and great value — 5 months ago
Very enjoyable, with a lot going on. Loaded with blackberry and dark fruits, along with violet, licorice, spice, and floral notes. A nice long finish to round it out. This was a 375 ml bottle and cost $16.99 back in the day—hard to argue with that value.
I still have some older Vintage Ports resting in the cellar and will get to them in due time—no rush. NYE dinner at Anthony’s in HH was a great way to cap it off. — 6 months ago

Bright lemon color with stone and tropical fruit aromas and floral scents. On the palate flavors of pear, apples and peaches with lemon citrus and chalky notes. Well balanced with pleasant lively acidity, long finish ending with mineral, citrus and wet stone nuances. Very nice! — 2 months ago
Took a few hours to open up but lovely bottle of rioja with balanced palate — 4 months ago
New to wine. This was one of the first quality reds I was recommended. Should age well and has decent tannins. — a month ago
My first time trying Dalmau; arguably the most modern expression from Marqués Murrieta. The fruit for Dalmau comes from 70+ year old vines planted in the Canajas vineyard.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2019 pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe, black cherry, plum, tobacco, cedar, and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. A polished wine that’s still very much and infant. Drink now with patience and through 2044. Bottle No. 14135/15526 — 2 months ago
Bright and fresh. Prunes, chocolate, hazelnut, orange peel, and vanilla. Excellent with a rich blue cheese. — 3 months ago

Lovely vintage Porto, dark fruits, solid balance, starting to show its age, long, lingering finish, only quibble is that this doesn’t show the characteristic sweeter style (thus my comment on its age, starting to dry out just a tad). — a month ago
