The fruit is barely noticeable. For a while (an hour after opening the bottle) I smelled cherry liqueur. The second glass - two hours after opening - was already devoid of fruit. The wine has become pleasantly raw: cola (carbonated :) ), some leather, hot asphalt,. Delicious pinot. — 8 months ago
My first Joshua Cooper wine - had to check out the Young Winemaker of the year for 2020 awarded by Gourmet Wine Traveller magazine. Joshua has recently turned 32. This wine was quite rich and dense and a little closed aromatically - obviously quite young. Ripe plum, rose petals, with a little vegetal matter. - a big future ahead. Joshua has had wide experience with Australian wineries and in Burgundy with Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron. This wine from the cool climate Macedon Ranges with high profile neighbours like Bindi and Curly Flat. — 3 years ago
Never disappoints. Gorgeous. — 20 days ago
A beautiful wine. Full of life, energy and flavour. Not cloying, but refreshing. Delicate across the palate for a wine displaying aged Chardonnay characteristics and so full of flavour. Drink now or hold for another few years. — 6 months ago
Al says Cherry! Really yum !… for a Pinot noir? — 9 months ago
Whole bunch/green component coming through strongly. Old world weight and taste - peppery and spicy. Good pure fruit, but needs time to blend with the tannin and herbaceous notes. — 2 years ago
A rich earthy Shiraz typical of its Heathcote origins. Full bodied - savoury dried plum with herbs and a meaty component. This wine has a long way to go in the cellar - has firm but mellow tannins. Bindi is an excellent well recognised producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Macedon (just north of Melbourne), so it’s nice to see him turn his winemaking talents to Shiraz from Heathcote. Had my 2nd and last bottle 61 weeks later on 30th November 2023. Excellent wine, notes as previous with that meaty component standing out. Very savoury. I like the fact that this not a blood and thunder full bodied Heathcote blockbuster. Medium plus bodied - very earthy. — 2 years ago

At a good French restaurant in Sydney - Franca Brasserie. Place of Changing Winds is the brainchild of Robert Walters, one of the leading importers of Fine Wine into Australia - IFW. This is his local venture based in the Macedon Ranges, to the immediate north of Melbourne. Specialising in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. 2020 as a vintage is well described on the label as “Annus Horribilis”. Terrible weather including a freak frost meant only 100 dozen bottles were produced. As often happens in these difficult vintages the resulting wine was very good - pretty and perfumed yet structured and fine boned at the same time. Looking forward to trying more bottles from this ultra boutique winery. — a month ago
