This was fantastic honey, apple, waxy, and mineral all for less than 20 dollars — 2 months ago
14.5%. 🍎 apples, ripe, a big wine. Really well done yet over the top for me. Apple pie. A fantastic wine for asian food! I had a hard time with this one! On one side I was smitten and on the other side I was wondering what could this wine be with this quality grape material picked earlier and therefore less alcohol and more elegance? — 2 months ago
Piercing acidity and citrus fruit but not much length. Nice wine, but Not to my taste. — a month ago
Amazing freshness with the 20+ age, spicy nose, pure minerality.
Hints of beeswax, shy quince, salty rocks, the purity here is just insane.
On the palate this hits with brilliant acidity (not far from Fino!), paired with spicy minerality and barely a hint of apples sprinkled with fleur de sel. Great depth and amazing electric tension.
This is brilliant! I am blown away. Wowza! — a month ago
Pretty remarkable. I’ve never been able to try an old one of these before, but I’ve always understood. They aged like champs and this thing was crazy. It tasted and looked like it could’ve been bottled last week. If you have any that have been well stored there’s absolutely no rush. — 2 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best on Day 2. The 2023 Amador County pours a bright, deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart orchard fruit: peach, lemon, tangerine, white flowers, lanolin, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. Obviously young but I can’t help but feel that these Chenin’s from Tegan just keep getting better and better. Drink now through 2039. — 10 days ago
