Nose is steely, mineral and refined. Apple skins, lime zest. Very very mineral as St. Romain tends to be. Palate is terrific. Juicy, super pure and very concentrated with outstanding clarity and freshness. Best version yet. Lovely balance. Very complex and so delicious. This is a great wine. So chewy on the finish. The reviews on this are fascinating! After having the cakebread a few nights ago it is amazing how close these wines are. This is beautiful cherry and raspberry fruit with a hint of pepper and good tannin. I’m guessing that provenance of this wine is the key to difference of reviews or garagiste truly received something different in the bottle. Great qpr from my tasting. — 8 years ago
