So great. Tobacco and herbs, earth. Full-bodied, juicy mouth full of ripe red and dark fruits. Perfect balance. — 2 months ago
Medium deep ruby garnet core , quite narrow garnet ruby rim. Grafite , cassis , deeper , darker fruit than the 2017. Blackberry and some ash and tobacco. On the palate this is deeper, with more darker fruit also, grafite , cassis and with a roundness and richness that the 2017 doesn’t have . Quite fresh acidity and gritty tannins , good length with grafite and cassis freshness . This is showing well but can still improve over the next 5 or so years and will last well over the next 10 years if not more . Quite refined , complete and well balanced for Sociando Mallet — 13 days ago
Выпито вторым вином в тот же вечер Достойное бордо 2008 года. — a month ago
Almost 40 years and its still in good shape. Thats a wine that drinks well after 8 to 10 years and might last 50+ in the better vintages. Does not have the complexity of grand cru wines but there is little if anything you can buy in Bordeaux at this QPR. — 6 months ago
A bit of oak with a long finish. $30 — 7 hours ago
2014: Well balanced, feels like berries, some floral notes — 2 months ago

2017 vintage. As I just started to work at the Cave d'Arcins ( please reach out if you visit the Médoc !), I will get even more exposure to the Castel wines from their own properties, many of which I've enjoyed in the past. Château d'Arcins has been a long time favourite value wine. The 2017 is ready to drink, in a somewhat lighter style compared to the best vintages. While not as refined as the 2022 and 2019, it's still offering a bang for the buck at 13 euros. Give it 15 minutes to breathe, and enjoy a classic Haut-Médoc with a rustic old school feel about it in this vintage. A nice food wine. Abv. 13%. — 3 days ago
