Le Cellier Des Collines

Quinet Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah 2023

9.3

Consistently excellent; my first of the 2023; typical bramble fruits, black pepper on the nose, palate intense blackberry and blueberry, a little bacon fat on the back end , good intensity and ripe tannins; I think this will improve in 3 years or so but really enjoyable right now; consumed over 3 days; held up and softened on day 3. — 15 days ago

Pure expression of Syrah. Spice. One of a case bought EP and shows the value when you go hunting in the Rhone and trust the producer. — 6 months ago

Coeur de Cuvée Grand Cellier Champagne Blend

Disgorged 2022. Tons of bruised green apple. Little brioche. Ends a little shorter than expected for the price point. — 8 months ago

Domaine Joblot

Clos du Cellier Aux Moines Givry 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2021

Light bodied without being a pushover. Bright fruit, almost a bit green like unripened strawberries with a constant bitter note throughout - like unsweetened cacao nibs — 2 years ago

Cuvée Spéciale Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

Opened to make beef stew and enjoy with it on 10/29/2022. — 4 years ago

Vilmart & Cie

Grand Cellier 1er Cru Champagne Blend

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The “Grand Cellier” pours a pale straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of bright, tart fruit: green apple, star fruit, Meyer lemon, a whiff of brioche, and chalky, limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I freaking love Vilmart. Drink now through 2038. Disgorged December of 2018. — 2 months ago

Le Blason du Prince Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2023

La Voile. Drank by the glass. Really good CNdP. Lots of flavors, deep red berries, herbs on the midpalate. With or without food. Long finish. Some tannins, but smooth. — 9 months ago

Domaine Vincent Paris

Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah 2023

This 2023 is an affordable “ Brother” of the northern Rhône. All about light bodied freshness and nuance, hints at it s big brothers in Crozes Hermitage. Will be a delightful picnic wine as the warmer weather arrives. Under $20 a bottle. — a year ago

Cellier des Dauphins

Les Dauphins Réserve Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2024

Another solid vintage of this Côtes du Rhône staple. Blend of Grenache (60%) and Syrah (40%). Dark garnet color with ruby highlights. Aromas of ripe black fruit, violets, dried rose petals and roasted meat. Flavors of ripe red and black cherry/raspberry/plum fruit, savory dried herbs and spices and a bit of black licorice. Hint of earth and bramble on the long dry finish. No real noticeable oak aging. Fruit forward and fresh. Velvety tannins and medium-plus body. Exceptional quality and consistency for the price. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 4 months ago

Different vineyard but still 100% Jacquere, and this one is nicely on the cusp but not yet going down. Bro hints of the putative initial mountain freshness and minerals, together with a lithe expression of age. — 6 months ago
