I love chenin and more specifically from Savennières... Honey, green apple and chalk on the nose. Very fresh and acid driven palate, some width, some nice mouthfeel with almost a grain, a long fresh apple-y finish that goes on for ever. What's not to like here? — a year ago

This is a notably vibrant style of Muscadet with crisp acidity, loads of lemon, green apple, pear and melon. Despite being sur lie the wine has a very clean, lean feeling on the palate. Great with scallops — 3 years ago

Chardonesk-like varietal native to The Northewestern Iberian peninsula… Pale lemon on the eye with aromas of green pear, smith granny apple, but also hints of white flowers and rosemary. The palate is very similar to a high quality White Burgundy: medium body, medium alcohol, silky, creamy, with refreshing citrus like acidity and a lingering oaky-smoky-vanillish finish… Over the top for my expectations and budget. Nose : graphite. Blackberry. Beautiful.

Palate: blackberry. Blueberry. Lovely finesse. Dry Good texture. Delicious. A bit of Fresh sweet green olives. It flits in and out.

As this opens the lavender comes out. Bloody gorgeous.

As this opens waaaay more elegant and less blueberry juice.

This needs an hour. Pop and pour and you are missing elite st jo. — 2 years ago

For me the current best wine in St. Joseph. Just a stunning stunning expression of St. Jo. Nose is insane. The most detailed olives ever. Just gorgeous. Also herbs de Provence and so much granitic intensity. Also dark flowers. Dark blueberry fruit and dark berry fruit. Just so deep, intense and utterly brilliant. I love this wine. Wow that palate. So so elegant and juicy and with achingly beautiful finesse. My god this is so delicate and I am sorry but this has more elegance than. Gonon. Just wow. The concentration is off the charts and my goodness the inner mouth olive flavors intermingled with wild mint are to die for. Unreal refined and classy tannins and is juicy, balanced and perfect. Wow. Can’t wait to see what air does. 9.8 for now. With some short term air the nose is just crazy. So complex and floral. So sleek and juicy and man those tannins are all class. The quality of the fruit is exquisite! — 5 months ago
