Fleurie Gamay 2012

Fully mature mouth-coating herbs and tomato. Lacks freshness of most bojo but somehow works with broad mid-palate. A treat, for sure. — 8 days ago

Deus Ex Machina Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2011

Flavors were fine albeit subdued and browning on the color. Time to drink the ones I had. Could have been prior storage issues with prior owner. — 13 days ago

Hermitage Syrah 1978

From Mag. An absolute wow of a bottle. The nose is crazy intense, lucid and profound. Dark plum fruit with a whiff of band aid, iron, black pepper, a tangy meatiness. Loads of delicate floral notes floating around, but a soulful and pristine bottle. As fresh as an early 2000’s bottle but so much age and precision going on. Wonderful. Just spectacular. — 19 hours ago

"Cuvée Corcelette" Morgon Gamay 2022

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours and alongside Boulard’s “Corcelette” from 2014. The 2022 “Cuvée Corcelette” from Foillard pours a deep garnet color with medium viscosity and moderate staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with notes of wild strawberries, freshly cut roses, tarragon, licorice, blood orange, and a new bar of Irish Spring. It’s definitely a touch mousy but well within the acceptable range for me. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, fresh and so Foillard. Drink now through 2042. — a month ago

L'Hermitage Syrah 2011

25th Anniversary. Things that are sublime. Massive nose of wild herbs and dark fruit. Smooth silky tannins give ways to earthy tones of green oliveand soil. The finish lingers for 20+ seconds. What a treat. — 21 days ago

Hermitage Blanc Marsanne Roussanne 2011

Great mouthfeel and balance. After 30 minutes the butterscotch became super pronounced. The image is confusing as there’s a red showing, but this was a BLANC. — a month ago
