This is quite the sultry, voluptuous red. I was a little dismayed to see 16% on the label, but it was actually pretty balanced. Nose has warm sandstone, baking spice, and sweet oozing dark red berries. Full (obviously) in the mouth, with peppery berry fruit and stony minerality in the finish. Went really well with mesquite-grilled porterhouses.
