For a Victorian wine, pretty good — 4 years ago
Once again confirming that this is one of my favourite reds ever. Austere purple fruit, but theres a definite ethereal quality to this wine. Crunchy autumn leaves, pink peppercorn, tobacco. This wine is pretty. Rivals anything from the Savoie. *mic drop* — 5 years ago
One of the best roses I’ve had in a while (and in the perfect setting). Vibrant, textural and expressive with watermelon, cherry, hibiscus and a touch of garrigue. It’s a shame I didn’t get a photo with the actual juice because the deep almost magenta color was 💣 but the bottle didn’t last long enough... — 6 years ago
What a treat! My motley group of merry gentlemen arrived at Marta, one of my favorite stylish-casual restaurants in New York, to the popping of the cork of this delicious magnum of Pierre Peters Champagne. One of my favorite grower champagnes for its focus, citrus bite and minerality. It was a terrific surprise for a special occasion that was both touching and gratefully received. — 9 years ago
Wicked cherry flavours from Grenache, good length, nice structure. 14.76 — 11 years ago
Brewdog Oktoberfest
Columbus, Ohio
Rosy red amber with cream colored head. Transpaque or Oparent depending on your vista. Sheet lacing melts to hopscape in winter and often ghost ship’s ribbings. Cedar spirit breath leads to dark baguette and lastly pretzel. Zested kumquat. The palate is lip smackingly balanced with a zip of bitter chit as an anchor. The motley crew consists of cherry, savory, nutmeg, pecan, baking chocolate and glistening caramel strands.

Wow! Notes of star anise, forest berries, high toned blueberries, black tea, oak, mint, crushed flowers, alpine vibes. Medium bodied, long finish, 12.5 abv. Smooth tannins.
Such a beautiful and pure expression of mountain Cabernet. This is the gold standard! — 5 years ago
This producer never fails to deliver quirky but beautifully made wine with an abundance of character. Predominantly schiava with a motley assortment of other unidentified varietals. Fresh strawberry with an earthy, herbal quality and a distinctly saline finish. — 8 years ago

Jaimee Kniffen I think you would like this one. — 12 years ago
Adore this wine, admittedly because it’s a special one to Kelly and me. But at least we picked a good wine to be special for us.
I don’t mess with a ton of Syrahs, but this one’s different. Earthy, not too dry but not fruity either. — 3 years ago
Wanted to compare and contrast this with Jaimee Motley's amazing mondeuse from Cali.
Nose: autumn leaves, earth, red cherries, raspberries, fennel, herbs, licorice, chocolate
Palate: dry, lean, austere, pink peppercorn, not a lot of fruit, cacao, forest floor, good tannins and acidity, some bitterness.
I prefer Jaimee's slightly riper fruit characteristics. But this is still a classic! — 5 years ago
Deep garnet; medium intensity aromas of blackberry, black plum skin, blueberry, black olive, cocoa, allspice, clove; developing; dry, medium acid, high tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, pronounced intensity flavors of blackberry, black plum skin, blueberry, black olive, cocoa, clove, long finish — 8 years ago
Crazy motley of aromas going on here. Cherries, blackberries, cedar, and gummi bears on the nose. On the palate, vanilla, black currant, cloves, dark fruits, red fruits, I could go on and on. Smooth, spicy finish. Straight Bordeaux here. It's nice to drink wine made by people who know what the heck they're doing. — 10 years ago
